The Zenoti Foundation + Steller Kindness Project
When The Steller Kindness Project was first created it came from a place of sadness for the world and the hardships that the people living in it were experiencing. There is so much destruction, loss and hate that exists around us and the weight of it can feel hopelessly soul-crushing. When we are consumed with anxiety and fear it can be hard to believe things can get better or see the moments of good and hope that exist around us. This is what prompted Katie to ask herself the question “If fear is contagious, why can’t kindness be?” and a hope that sharing stories of quiet acts of kindness would encourage others that the way they show up MATTERS and can create a ripple effect of good, no matter how small it might seem!
Over the years, Katie has found the answer for her question: Kindness truly is contagious! What started out as a small venture lead by one person has now grown into a movement made up of hundreds who are committed to using their time, talent and resources in the support of others. One of the new and exciting ways Steller Kindness will be growing is through a partnership with an incredible organization that shares the same foundational values of showing up and being kind, The Zenoti Foundation!
“When you do good, you feel good.” The Zenoti Foundation
The Zenoti Foundation is a charitable non-profit organization that supports those in the beauty and wellness industry by creating opportunities for individuals, academies, and businesses to make a positive impact and show kindness in their communities.
Through the support of Zenoti we have been able to provide our Red Chair Project volunteers with 10 stylist kits that are made up of tools and disinfectant supplies needed to give upwards of 300 haircuts to folks in our amazing communities. Additionally,Zenoti has made it possible for us to gift 50 hygiene kits alongside their support in providing haircuts and kindness to individuals in need.
Interested in getting involved? We are always looking for volunteers, donations and connections to new communities we can support through haircuts in our Red Chairs!
