Steller Union: Family Meal Project
** Steller Union has paused it’s work with local restaurants to meet a more immediate need of delivering water/ice/supplies to local encampments! Follow our Instagram for ways to get involved!**
We are thrilled to announce a new venture FULL of volunteer opportunities!
Meet the Steller Union Family Meal Project, a “Buy One-Give One” meal program for residents of the Twin Cities. When diners order a delicious meal from Union Hmong Kitchen, one will be provided for people experiencing food insecurity.
Every “Family Meal” purchased Sunday-Thursday at Union Hmong Kitchen, will be counted throughout the week, and the total will be reflected in the number of meals delivered to individuals and families in our community who are in need!
How can you get involved? Here are 4 opportunities:
LIKE TO COOK? Get hands-on and help prepare the meals alongside the team at Union Hmong Kitchen! (2-3 volunteers, Saturday 9am-12pm)
HAVE A CAR? 1-2 volunteers to help drop off the meals for pre-determined neighbors!
LOVE GOOD FOOD? Order a Family Meal through the Union Hmong Kitchen website Sunday-Thursday this week, and you will be giving a meal to a family in our community. Order through www.unionkitchenmn.com (closed Tuesday’s).
ABLE TO GIVE? We have several initiatives such as Steller Union and the Red Chair project that need support. Every dollar is put toward acts of kindness. Show up financially through a donation to the Steller Kindness Project! (Venmo @stellerkindnessproject)
Steller Union Family Meal Project not only helps show value to our beloved community through a warm meal, but it also supports local small businesses. Interested in volunteering? Send us an email! getinvolved@stellerkindnessproject.com
